For anyone working in a new agency or starting a freelance role, getting lunch, meeting people and grabbing something from a cool shop nearby can be tricky. That’s where our ‘Best Places’ series comes in. We have interviewed staff from agencies across the country to provide you with insider knowledge. Today we are looking at the Best Places Near ForPeople.
ForPeople are a cool bunch of people. Established eight years ago by four former Ingeni colleagues, they are based in an old vinegar factory in Kennington. They design products and experiences for some of the world’s most well-known brands (think Coca-Cola, British Airways etc.). It’s more than likely that all of us at some point have probably flown in, drank or experienced their work in some way. They are a group of people who deliver the innovative thinking behind brands, conducting the research and delivering the ideas that bring the brands to life.

We asked Karolina Johnson (Studio Manager) for her favourite places near ForPeople.
Karolina, where is the Best Place to grab a coffee and why?
And where is the Best Place to grab a pint/glass of vino? Why?
The Doghouse pub serves everything from traditional ales to posh wines, and has loads of outdoor seating. A pub that is off the beaten track but also on a main road!
In your opinion, where is the Best Place to have a sit down lunch?
Pizza Express on Kennington Road, or Madeira’s.
And the Best Place to have a sandwich/wrap?
Top places to shop?
Has to be Borough Market, which is a walk or a short tube ride away. Fruit, veg, organic meat and probably the best chocolate brownies in London.
Can you recommend the Best Place to chill out (day or night)?
Cleaver Square – voted one of the nicest places to visit in London. Cleaver Square plays host to the odd game of boules or Petanque in the summer
What’s the best kept secret near ForPeople?
Charlie Chaplin’s house is right next door to the ForPeople offices!
And lastly, what is the Best Place for a big night out?
The Prince of Wales on Cleaver Square – apparently the favourite drinking hole of the Richardson gang in the 1960’s
