This top 10 media agency handles the media planning and buying for some of the world's smartest advertisers and is looking for a Planning Associate Director to work on one of their highest profile clients.

With an appetite for new learning and driving change the Associate Planning Director will be a trusted partner for mid-level clients and a strong voice for planning excellence amongst the team. The Associate Planning Director will work closely with the Associate Client Directors and take ownership of the planning product for clients within the group.

There is currently a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the agency's flagship accounts. The role would be responsible for ensuring best in class planning across a number of UK briefs, as well as the development of global strategy to be implemented by local markets. This account is a fantastic brand for anyone to work on and you would be responsible for building on this success to further digitise and commercialise the work that the agency do with to ensure they are consistently delivering business value through the reinvention of the value of media.

Responsibilities of the Associate Planning Director:

*Responsible for developing top quality consumer understanding and customer journeys for your clients
*In conjunction with your account team you are responsible for the development of a communications strategy (to identify the core role of communications) based on client business objectives, consumer understanding and a full knowledge of the media ecosystem. For global clients these strategies will take into consideration multiple countries nuances and cultural differences and they will provide a framework on which local markets can build their ecosystems
*Responsible for the development of creative ideas, media partnerships and innovations based on the communications strategy and working with local markets to ensure their appropriateness
*Responsible for determining what business value means to your client and for developing a robust measurement framework in order to measure this against all activity recommended.
*With the other members of the client team, you are responsible for maintaining an excellent relationship with your clients.
*Responsible for developing consumer understanding, communications strategies and media ecosystems to deliver business value for new business pitches (global and local). Play an active role in the communications planning part of the new business process.
*Responsible for mentoring Graduates through Managers within your team in all aspects of planning.

Skills needed:
*Good working knowledge of media and communications planning tools and processes, eg CCS Planner, ICP or similar.
*Working knowledge of CCS (or equivalent) and a proven ability to bring insights to bear to develop communications strategies
*Understanding and application of multiple sources for market, consumer and media intelligence, for example: Mintel, Google trends, Comscore, Crimson Hexagon, etc.
*Experienced in identification and development of insights, measurement and evaluation projects
*Collaborative approach to working with agency partners, media owners and clients
*Some experienced in structuring and facilitating of integrated strategic workshops with key client and agency stakeholders
*Able to communicate strategic and innovative ideas with clarity and simplicity
*Good ability to write strategic documents and cases
*Comfortable in developing and presenting new business work
*Good skills in persuasion and selling of your ideas and strategies
