Our Client, an award winning global media agency which is renowned for strategic and creative media planning is on the hunt for a Business Director to work on some of their highest profile brands and look after some of the agency's longest standing relationships.

They are looking for someone to become the lead Media Planner for a top financial services account, across both brand and acquisition planning. This person will be leading a team of media planners (Account Director, Account Manager and Account Executive) as they seek to take the relationship into new areas and push their business forward.

The client places a strong emphasis on innovation, and is continuously looking at new and interesting ways to engage with their audiences. There is a strong culture of inter-agency collaboration, and as such this role offers the opportunity to engage with stakeholders across multiple disciplines.


-Successfully drive digital acquisition across a range of products
-Understand how to use the wealth of data available to enhance media performance and connect to business growth
-Builds the brand story and values with intelligent media planning
-Work with the team to come up with a detailed programmatic strategy including the data strategy proposed
-Align strategy and plans by connecting brand and acquisition comms
-Establish yourself as a connected member of the broader marketing team
Skills needed:
-Proactive in developing inventive ideas to think beyond the obvious solution, creating plans worthy of award entry.
-Well informed and able to talk with authority about the current and future trends, in technology and media.
-Consistently demonstrates how to identify, explore and apply different data sets to improve planning.
-High capability and confidence in both brand and response based planning.
-Proven at motivating through erudite briefing and is comfortable applying a variety of ideation techniques.
-Inspires immediate team and wider department with a clear and well articulated point of view. Leads by example through presence and positive contribution to agency meetings.
-Coaching and managing performance and careers within the team. Encourages and develops talent as well as spotting issues and managing under performance. Takes responsibility for the actions and performance of their team.
This role is ideal for a person with a strong and broad understanding of media, and its commercial impact. You will need to be proficient in delivering excellence across the mix, from brand building through to optimising sales. A strong digital background is imperative to ensure you continue to drive online sales and performance excellence.
