An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Digital Account Manager to really make an impact at a leading full service digital agency, responsible for the planning and buying of cross-channel media (from mobile and PPC through to Cinema, TV and Sponsorships).
What will you be doing?
As a Digital Account Manager you will report directly into the team's Activation Account Director. The role is to lead the day to day running of the top technology client's digital media activity across the UK, as well as to contribute to the team and company on a wider level. This role will specifically be looking after the UK Digital Display planning and buying across the IT & Mobile Communications arm of the business, but you also be expected to deliver joined up planning across the whole product portfolio.
The client is at the forefront of Digital and is regularly first to market with new formats, partners, technology and data solutions.
*Leading the planning and buying for your client accounts, producing and executing media plans that meet and exceed objectives and represent great value
*Acting as the line manager to one Senior Executive and two Executives, supported by your Director
*Carrying out regular and ad hoc tasks specific for your discipline and client as directed by your line manager and team. This entails management of client status documents, reporting and analytics and media negotiation, as well as planning and activating campaigns with support of your fellow team mates
*Taking part in a plethora of training sessions in addition to on the job learning and support from your line manager, as they develop your knowledge and core skills so, in time, you can take on more responsibility
*Liaising with creative agencies as necessary to ensure all creative deliverables are obtained for flawless execution and campaign management
*Learning how the agency functions, where to go for what, who is responsible for what, as you learn how to operate in the business world and how to work in media. You will make it your business to know everything about your client's market as well as your industry.
*Participating in internal and external meetings regarding current projects, future possibilities - briefs and brainstorms
What have you done in the past?
They are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This will be both in terms of applying industry knowledge (and sharing this with the team) to create great media plans and providing guidance to those with less experience.
*Strong leadership qualities, to include experience in team management
*Great negotiation skills and commercial appreciation
*A solid understanding of programmatic opportunities and state of the market
*Excellent relationships with media owners
*The ability to learn new processes and technology quickly, including knowledge of adservers and viewability solutions, and a point of view on DMPs and third party data
*The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; working under pressure and prioritise workload
*Passion for the brand and industry
*Familiar with a range of media technology (will have worked with standard ad servers i.e. Sizmek, DoubleClick, Flashtalking and Viewability products e.g. Integral AdScience)
*Capable of using media planning tools such as Comscore and TGI
*Hands on, with problem solving abilities and a "can do" approach (someone who is a thinker and a doer)
