The role: Digital Designer - £35k
This role is to join the Creative Suite, in the advertising team. There is a Head of Digital Delivery that this role reports into and 4 Designers including this hire. All of the current designers - 2 x juniors 1 x MW are both designer and developer hybrids.
Output of work includes: Interactive Ads, Digital Campaigns, Microsites / Competition sites / Games.
Essential packages needed:
Photoshop, HTML5, html, css, ad serving platforms and any other front end development skills for simple microsite coding.
When a brief comes in from a client, each person designs it in photoshop, and builds it following client amends, so has complete ownership over a project.
They would really like someone with some stronger skills across the ad serving side of things. They would love to be able to create more dynamic, interactive ads for digital campaigns. So some ad serving experience would be great.
They would love someone who wants to come up with ideas for things like this and then see them come alive.
*Design and develop engaging online commercial creative pages for brands across the portfolio
*Design and build rich media advertising
*Work from brief and liaise with digital project managers to design creative pages and advertising formats, managing client amends as required
*Manage the online development of signed off campaign designs to live build and delivery
*Use content management system to embed creative builds
*Other ad-hoc digital tasks such as app design work
*Support junior members of the team
*Support and uphold key team values by being bold, curious, connected and positive
*Be a proactive, digital delivery team contact, establishing and building good relationships within the team and wider network
*To have a genuine interest and excellent understanding of latest trends in digital design development and branded content
*Be personable and communicative
Skills and competencies:
*Strong digital design and front end development skills with proven commercial portfolio
*Strong HTML and CSS knowledge
*In depth knowledge of the Adobe creative suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
*Experience using a content management system to create engaging webpages
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*Good organisational and time management skills that support the rest of the team
*Ability to work fast to meet short deadlines within a fast-paced environment
*Previous experience working for a media company or within the creative industry would be a bonus
