An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Display Planning and Buying Manager to really make an impact at a leading London agency who devises multi-media communications strategies for some of the world's most innovative and creative brands. They take their work seriously, and put in the time and effort required to produce work that does clients proud, and are always looking to push the boundaries of what is possible.
The successful Display Planning and Buying Manager will be working on a mix of top clients, taking ownership of all areas of day-to-day Print & Digital campaign management from initial brief, constructing a plan, negotiating and buying space, billing and financial management, to post campaign performance reviews of your team.
What will you be doing?
*Ensure every digital plan / media buy that comes out of your team has a clear key performance indicator listed on the schedule with an accompanying benchmark of expected performance so that the client can reference actual performance once the campaign is live.
*To support the Account Director in developing investment-led strategies in both Print and Digital media to meet clients' business objectives
*Actively seek creative and innovative media solutions
*Effectively manage and develop Account Executives and Media Assistants within the team
*Provide accurate and insightful data analysis to drive campaign effectiveness
*Ensure all client requests are met and surpassed and manage client expectation effectively
*Respond to all client briefs and requests in a timely, professional and efficient manner
*Demonstrate an enterprising and pro-active attitude to all client dealings
*Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the client industry sector, the competitors within that sector and the general industry environment
*Lead campaign rationale meetings, manage pushbacks and challenges that may arise
*Ensure effective management and participation in regular team status meetings
*Champion high quality work within your team both within the wider team, and wider agency
*Quality control output of your team. Ensure that KPI's and clear rationales are set
What have you done in the past?
*Experience and understanding of working across Print and Digital channels
*Understand digital branding planning metrics - unique reach & frequency, engagement, time spent with the brand & how to measure / report on changes in perception / awareness
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Excellent mathematical and numerical skills
*Ability to work with Excel to at least an intermediate level
*A strong understanding of media tools and techniques, communication channels, acquisition media planning and reporting processes, media buying/negotiation within guidelines
*Strong analytical skills - evaluation of key trends in response data, market and media dynamics
*An excellent understanding of the financial billing process e.g. Using DDS, Adazzle, Metis
*Understand response planning metrics - response rates, cost per response, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, return on investment
*Work flow management/time management, prioritisation of tasks within a team
*A good knowledge of major industry research sources
