Front End Developer / Permanent / London / £45-50k

HTML5 / CSS3 / SASS / JavaScript / jQuery / Responsive / Agile

I am currently on the lookout for a Front End Developer to become part of one of the largest and most awarded digital agencies globally, working with some of the most exciting brands across a number of different industries.

A developer is needed to join the client-side team, which is currently around 30 strong, to drive this team forward and make an impact by carrying out a range of responsibilities which in essence, will really develop such an individual into an all-round leader.

My client is at the forefront of the latest technologies, you will need to have a strong background in JavaScript, as you will have a say in the introduction of associated frameworks in the future.

Whilst a hands on role, the person I am looking for will also have the responsibility, along with the Head of Front End Development, of implementing processes, communicating and enforcing development standards, and maintaining a quality amongst the team by ensuring consistency across all delivery as a whole.

Mentoring is another big element of this role, such an individual will have to lead by example and inspire the team to guarantee the best quality work is delivered continuously. You will take ownership of large projects, however for slightly smaller scale projects; you will be able to delegate such to other members of the team.

Lastly, communication levels have to be strong as dealing with other departments will be a regular occurrence, you will need to present work, ideas and document large projects methodically and clearly. And your communication will not be limited to internal teams either; you will have every opportunity to meet clients, offering advice and suggestions on best practices.

Required skills:

JavaScript (OO) / jQuery
SVN / Git
Third party API's
TDD experience very beneficial
CMS experience preferable

Aside from technical capability, I am seeking someone who will be able to work as part of a team and mentor others, communicate with other departments (namely Design and Project Management), and be an integral part of the development of a hugely successful team.
