This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a role as a sole developer, to control and have real ownership of all technical delivery with my client, based in Central London, an integrated independent advertising agency that services clients operating in the FMCG, Healthcare, Charity, Fashion and Sports sectors, to name a few.

As the Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for the highest quality delivery of advertising display solutions, web and application builds, as well as being able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and other disciplines, and clients, to which explaining technical solutions and best practices to a strong level of understanding is imperative.

One will work alongside the design team as a sole developer initially, however as the team grows the role will in turn grow into a Technical Lead / Head of Digital position, giving the opportunity for higher responsibilities of hiring, training, mentoring and project planning, giving unrivalled scope of advanced career progression.

The team is quite small and close knit at this agency (circa 30), so a cheerful, positive an enthusiastic personality is a must, as well as having the passion, desire and determination to bring innovative technical techniques to the table and apply them accordingly on an ongoing basis.

The role will generally be interactive and web development, and on this basis, the following technical skill set is essential:
-HTML5 (Greensock JS)
-CSS3 (SASS / Compass)
-DoubleClick or Flashtalking or Sizmek etc…
-JavaScript (preferably commercial experience using Vanilla)
-Responsive Web Design
-PHP
-Zend or other…
-MySQL
-WordPress

There is around 30% (70% client delivery) downtime currently, so as one matures into the role, such downtime can be used effectively for internal projects where explorative and innovative practices can be used for delivering technical projects, which again is another fantastic opportunity to widen understanding of modern technologies that can in turn be used for client delivery in the future.

Augmented Reality and Application Development is something being carried internally by my client already, so, there really is quite a wide range of technologies that can be tried, tested and learned!

Technologies that have been used so far, as an example, include:
-React / React Native
-Redux
-Node.js
-WebGL
-Canvas
-D3.js

So, in a nutshell, this opportunity offers a host of real benefits:
-Advanced career progression
-Technical ownership
-Client facing
-Hiring, mentoring and training
-Project planning
-Innovation and implementation of YOUR favoured technologies!

Oh, and they're an amazing bunch of people too, based in one of the most buzzing areas of town…
