Technical Lead with a front end focus and a can-do attitude is needed to join a team of experienced technology professionals in a highly successful independent agency, based in East London.

Working at this agency involves playing an integral part in building the web-based solutions for high profile clients. Ones work will be on display and used by many thousands of users, meaning that a keen eye for detail, the foresight to identify issues before they become problems, and a willingness to go that extra mile when it's needed, are attributes my client highly values.

One will also need to be committed to producing robust, clean and efficient code, have an excellent understanding and appreciation for code standards and reusability, as well as being active in seeking out new tools and techniques to aid the development team.

The given Technical Lead will act as the go-to person for all technical development, so having expert knowledge in these areas is a key feature of this role. 30% of the role is management of the technical team, both in London as well as Cape Town, with the rest of ones time being hands-on.

Responsibilities:
-Manage a small team of developers across client and server side
-Act as a mentor to all developers, conduct code reviews and ensure high standards
-Continuously explore new technologies and ensure processes stay robust
-Write clean code which is understandable to other team members
-Identify risks and potential scenarios that code will encounter
-Adhere to development policies and processes
-Communicate effectively with team and wider business
-Improve development processes, integrating new technologies when necessary
-Effectively document all technical deliverables

Skills required:
-Previous experience of mentoring teams
-Strong experience with SPA JavaScript frameworks/libraries (Angular 2 / React)
-Passion for pixel perfect design implementations
-Wider knowledge of other JavaScript methodologies
-Expertise in the use of HTML5, Canvas and CSS3
-Experience of database design and MySQL
-Good understanding of OO programming

Desired skills:
-Virtual Server experience, particularly with Docker
-Exposure of working with CMS's including WordPress, Drupal etc.
-Magento 2 experience
-Continuous Integration
-Test Dirven Development
