We have an exciting opportunity for a Midweight UI Designer to join a Financial Publishing, Product Development team at an exciting time for the team as they are being given more freedom in the role they play in the company. The company itself is a market leader, working with a wide range of clients from banks to schools and due to the workload increasing they are looking to increase their design team by 3 this year!
They have a great atmosphere and work-life balance, working every Wednesday from home, Hours of 9 to 5:30, company lunch and social drinks on Fridays, as well as finishing an hour early!
Did I mention their open plan office looks out onto the river Thames?
The role of Midweight User Interface Designer
In this role, you will be working closely with their design team, consisting of 7 total people, which will grow to 10 this year. The team is split in two, some working on internal tools whilst you will be working on their products. The role will be split 70% UI and 30% UX so it will be crucial for you to have examples of wireframes / UX in your portfolio.
As a Midweight UI Designer you should have:
-A good eye for design and space
-Exceptional client/stakeholder communication skills
-Ability to facilitate workshops
-Outstanding written and verbal communication
-Strong time-management and multitasking abilities
And of course, you should have a good command of Sketch and Adobe CC
