The Video Editor (with after effect skills) is responsible for breathing life into digital concepts, capturing and crafting visually stunning media and bringing a touch of motion magic to a wide variety of engaging content and interactive experiences.
You'll be creating high quality visual content that will captivate audiences at every opportunity, from the tiny screens of wearable technology to the giant displays of digital billboards - and everything in between.
Working alongside Interactive Designers and Developers to infuse interactive applications with rich video/animated content and explore new ways of leveraging technology to elevate the creative vision and enhance the user experience.
This is to work in the Creative Department of 30 people that includes creatives, designers, art workers and the tech team - developers, designers, creative technologists. This person will be the sole video person within the creative team.
Output of work includes:
*social media campaigns and online video, online advertising, digital signage, interactive installations and website content. Agency showreels, case study videos.
*Working with other disciplines, including Creative Directors, Art Directors, Strategists and Developers to help craft the creative vision and build concepts. Alongside the digital designers to create story boards, mood boards, motion comps, animatics to help illustrate and sell concepts internally and to clients.
*Creating animations, title sequences, show reels, attractor loops, interstitials, pitch content and animated info-graphics.
*Editing captured video or rendered animations to create complete motion projects with cohesive story and pacing.
*Creating individual elements, effects and components for enhancing interactive graphical user interfaces.
*Involved throughout the entire project lifecycle from the original concept and design, prototyping, pitching and through to production. Working within a lively, expert and award-winning creative department.
*Integrates into a production workflow and set of tools; follows established best practices.
*Proactively keeps informed of latest trends and developments in relevant tools, technologies and concepts, internally educating and evangelizing.

Skills and Experience
*Passionate about creating beautiful and effective work.
*Knows how to combine graphics, imagery, typography, video and audio in a seamless manner.
*Excels at using non-linear editing tools to assemble, cut, splice and render tight sequences with a variety of pacing and styles
*Able to apply colour correction, enhancements, balance audio, and other general post production processes in order to create a clean, stylised, and cohesive look for final project/video
*Proficient in translating static compositions into compelling motion design with superior attention to detail and finish
*High familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite tools, workflow and productivity. Employs a range of design, motion, animation, editing and audio tools, methods and styles to capture and create visual content, including: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier.
*Experienced with media encoding for online and mobile delivery, including formats, codecs, data rates and other technical considerations.
*Possesses the curiosity to explore new forms of technology, tools and methods that enable and expand visual and interactive expression.
Any number of the following skills, experience or interests are a bonus, but not required for consideration:
*Capable of 3D modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering in Cinema4D to produce static or animated rendered 3D content.
*Ability to source, clean, mix and balance audio recordings, music tracks and sound effects for layering into projects.
*An eye for the aesthetics of visual design, graphic design, graphical user interfaces, heads-up-displays and futuristic sci-fi information systems.
*Familiar with creating simulated effects of particles, utilizing plugins such as Trapcode and Optical flares.
Education and Experience
*College / University Degree in Media, Animation, Visual Design, Interactive Design, Computer Science, Computer Visualisation or similar subjects (or equivalent work experience).
*Advertising Agency, Media, or Production House experience advantageous.
*Adobe, Apple, Maxon and other industry certifications recognised.
*Active participation in the Design and Technology communities in the form of publications, blogs, exhibitions, formal teaching, conference presentation, meet-up participation or open source project contributions is highly respected.
