What is the role of a Junior Web Designer?

As a junior designer you will be able to effectively translate ideas into design executions, ensuring a consistently high level of design quality.

You should be able to demonstrate a good level of skill, understanding and knowledge across the industry standard range of design and digital applications. You’ll be expected to lend support where needed to the wider design and creative departments.

Skills and experience necessary for this role:

·         1-2+ years’ experience working in an integrated advertising, DM or pure play digital agency

·         Excellent software skills in the industry including mainstream applications (Photoshop/Illustrator/Flash etc.)

·         BA Hons degree or equivalent in Art & Design, Advertising and/or Communications

·         Solid design and digital understanding

·         A good eye for detail

·         Good communication skills

·         Brand aware

·         Organised and able to deliver to a deadline

Required work experience:

0-2 years of relevant work experience

Salary:

£18,000 – £25,000

Types of company/agency common for this role:

A large number of agencies will be interested in junior members and most of our clients will have juniors on board. In addition, agencies such as Dare, Iris and Mediacom also have junior academies where they will look to recruit good graduate level people to join them.
