What is the role of a Paid Search Executive?

So what are the fundamentals of search and the opportunities it has to offer, whether you work in digital, TV, radio, print, outdoor or direct mail? We are a nation of searchers. Think about when you are looking for something online, where do you go? Search engines are often where you begin your online session, either to take you directly to what you are looking for, or to begin the research process. Naturally, there are a myriad of different types of effective methods to enhance “search ability”. The can include:

·         Paid Search – or Pay-per-Click (PPC) – here search engines will provide a biddable opportunity a place in the search results. The order of which they appear is dependent on the amount of money the advertiser is prepared to pay for a ‘click’ on their listing and dependent on the quality score (ad format, bid and landing page experience) To achieve a certain position in the search results, advertisers will bid against particular keywords.

PPC or Paid Search is still the most significant revenue generation method for advertisers. Although if this is not measured, precise, and constantly monitored it can be expensive and a wasted resource. It involves not merely picking and paying for the “right” words, but eliminating “negative” words, so it’s something of a science!

Specialist Search, Media or digital agencies are often the most trusted avenue for companies to leave their – typically – larger campaign search strategies with Alongside this, they may have in-house teams who are highly competent, but their expertise may not relate to the entire major traffic drivers: Google Adwords, Bing and Yahoo Gemini.
